Laura guides you to find the tools you need to eliminate or manage pain, move freely without frustrating limitations, and to maintain or improve your active lifestyle. Combining the ancient discipline of yoga with the nervous system "reset" of Integrated Positional Therapy and the anatomical reference of Physical Therapy, Laura provides an integrative and effective approach to pain relief and improved well being. This holistic mindset can be effective even when other traditional methods may have fallen short.
About Laura Terry
A Physical Therapist since 1998, Laura Terry has practiced in many different settings and with clients with a variety of problems and goals: from people with major neurological disorders and injuries to clients with chronic pain and orthopedic and muscular injuries. Her clients have goals that range from returning to athletic performance, improving balance, to relieving debilitating pain.
A yoga teacher since 2008, Laura has specialized training and experience in yoga for athletes, yoga for seniors, yoga for breast cancer survivors, and yoga for chronic pain. Find her love therapeutic yoga classes here and her yoga videos here.
Laura earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1995 and her Masters in Physical Therapy at East Carolina University in 1998. She holds special certifications in Integrated Positional Therapy (IPT--a gentle and effective manual therapy technique for neuromuscular pain), cupping, and manual lymphatic drainage (MLD).
