Physical Therapy Evaluation with Laura Terry, PT

$150

1 hour

Each therapeutic intervention begins with a consultation which includes discussion of your problem, evaluation of your injury or muscular/postural imbalance, explanation of the therapy diagnosis and treatment plan. Typically, we will develop a home routine to continue work on your own and to manage your problem(s) more independently, as well as recommendations for activity, exercise, posture modifications, etc. In addition to traditional PT interventions, yoga poses, Integrated Positional Therapy (IPT) and breathing exercises will be part of your routine

Insurance

This is a "cash-based" practice, meaning that Yoga & PT is not affiliated with any insurance carriers and cannot file insurance. If you receive Physical Therapy evaluation and/or treatment, a "superbill" can be provided to you after payment for services to file with your insurance for out of network reimbursement.

The choice of not filing insurance is a deliberate one. This allows Laura to work with you on what you need and towards your personal goals as opposed to what the insurance company dictates. You will not be in a large gym with other patients. Laura's attention will not be divided between you and another client. You will not be discharged based on number of "allowed" visits or "lack of progress." You will be afforded Laura's undivided attention for an hour so that she can assess you as a whole instead of just one body part at a time, as some insurance companies require.

Because of her ability to focus on the client's needs and tailor home exercise and self care programs, visit frequency for PT is typically once every 2-4 weeks as opposed to twice a week at most insurance-covered PT clinics. Fewer visits spread farther apart often makes the overall cost of treatment less than traditional insurance covered PT.
